Ashley Hardison, sales manager for The Nittany Lion Inn and The Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center, was recently recognized as Young Professional of the Year by the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County (CBICC).

At the Fourth Annual CBICC Excellence Awards, sponsored by PSECU and held at The Nittany Lion Inn on December 13, business and community leaders gathered to recognize the best of Centre County's business and entrepreneurial community.

In her role as sales manager for Penn State Hospitality Services’ two hotels, Hardison is responsible for securing meetings, conferences, local and national negotiated accounts, and corporate retreats. She is also responsible for representing the Penn State Hospitality Services at both local and national events. Hardison has 13 years of hospitality experience as a sales manager for hotels including the Marriott, Carlson, and Choice Hotels.

Hardison serves on the board of directors for Meeting Professionals International as the director of special events, and she is a mentor with the Penn State School of Hospitality’s Sales Internship program.

Hardison is also an active member of several professional and community organizations including the CBICC, CBICC Connect, Patton Township Business Association, Association for Corporate Travel Executives, and the Pennsylvania Society for Association Excellence (PASAE). She has also volunteered with MPI Philly, Coaches vs. Cancer Charity Tournament, Habitat for Humanity, Toys 4 Tots, Alabama Disaster Relief, United Way Day of Caring, and the State of Hope Foundation.

“We are extremely proud of Ashley,” says Norm Brown, sales manager for Penn State Hospitality Services. “Ashley truly supports the Penn State Hospitality Services mission statement, ‘building relationships that last,’ by her service to the CBICC. She is a shining star in our organization.”
